Aged Services

Through the Home And Community Care (HACC) Program funded by the NSW Department of Aging, Disability and Home Care, the Centre provides direct services for Arabic and Vietnamese elderly people including the disabled and their carers, within the Marrickville LGA area. Referral services are available for all people from all backgrounds.

Direct services for Arabic and Vietnamese elderly people include-

• Assessment
• Centre based day care - outings and activities
• Social support
• Arabic HACC group
• Arabic seniors group
• Vietnamese HACC group

Referral services include-

• Home care - help with house work and personal care
• Home nursing services
• Friendly home visiting services
• Home maintenance and garden help
• Community options program - Support for people with high and complex care needs.
• Food services – meals on wheels (MOW)
• Group Shopping Service - Assisted shopping by minibus
• Community transport  - Individuals, medical and social transport
• Respite care for carers - carer support groups.
• Podiatry
• Dimentia support services
